Cheshire United Soccer Club

About our Club

Founded in 1995, Cheshire United Soccer Club has been alive and kicking for 25 years! We are the largest travel soccer program in Southwestern New Hampshire. Based in Keene and the Monadnock Region, we serve boys and girls ages 8 - 19 in the spring soccer season and 8 - 14 in the fall. The philosophy and focus of the club is on individual player development, body and mind. Our goal is for all players to have a safe, fun & developmentally appropriate soccer experience.

A Word from our President

I turned 50 years old in 2019 and immediately started playing soccer for a 50+ team in Pepperell, MA in the New England Over The Hill league. It is great because I am one of the youngest players! I also play in Keene and in Milford, NH. I have been playing soccer on and off since age 7. I have also been a referee, a coach, a parent, a volunteer, a Board Member and now I am President of Cheshire United Soccer Club.

I was never a great soccer player, above average perhaps. I just quite simply love the game! In addition to the physical elements that it promotes such as fitness, endurance, strength, speed, balance and coordination, it also teaches valuable life skills such as decision making, communication, teamwork, dedication and leadership.

When I grew up, there was no such thing as club soccer. There were no local soccer clubs. We are very fortunate in our area to have had Cheshire United Soccer Club at the forefront of youth soccer for the past 25 years. Many of our players go on to play for the NH ODP (Olympic Development Program) and other larger soccer clubs in NH and MA such as Global Premier Soccer, Seacoast United, New England FC, PEAK FC and FC Stars. Many go on to play at all different levels in college. We pride ourselves on developing players - and people - so that they are able take those steps when they are ready.

But some players will play only one or two seasons and find that soccer is not for them and that is OK too!

Come join us on the pitch and see for yourself...! Even a bad day on the pitch is better than a good day at the office!

And we are always looking for coaches, volunteers and Board Members so if you have soccer experience or would like to simply get involved to help out with the club, please email me to let me know.

Thank you,

Mark Belden, President
